ABOUT

About

I arrived at massage therapy through my own struggles with life & grief, ultimately feeling called to aid others in processing their experiences this way as well. We store so much within our bodies; our lifelong Homes with unique histories. It made sense for me to start there, where we each already are...By cleaning house and making space for radiant health.

Grief Massage seemed to be the umbrella over many reasons I went           to school; to benefit:

  • Women who have been through abortions and other health crises

  • Folks who are/have experienced profound loss

  • Those of us who are HSP (Highly Sensitive People) and/or prone to depression & anxiety

  • LBGTQ+ folks who are marginalized & therefore at greater risk for all of the above.

I provide a safe, nurturing space for the grieving person to show up just as they are without judgement, where they can remove the daily social mask of "I'm fine". Our culture does not do a very good job of teaching us how to deal with emotions, let alone loss of any kind. Grief is one of the most stressful experiences we go through - and we will all go through it at some point. The body is a great place to start, as it is home to the nervous system, the system Grief Massage works with.

Clients may remain clothed if they wish.

Grief Massage is a warm, safe haven - a light in the darkness to curl up with and find respite. All you have to do is show up, collapse on the table, and let your body relax.

While I offer safe space and will listen to you with my whole heart, I will never prompt verbal processing of grief; I work solely through the lens of release through the physical body. This is done through gentle work, loving intentions, educated hands and a cozy atmosphere. I have professional referrals on hand for those who are interested & if I think it would benefit them.
